BA (Hons) Ceramic Design
I'm fascinated with creating textures that show the raw inherent beauty of the porcelain as a material. In my work I often use unglazed porcelain mixes with intricate glazed surface decorations to enhanced the beauty of the material. My work spans from small delicate decorative object to large floor-to-ceiling wall installations in porcelain. The connecting feature is always my fascination with texture and the tactile nature of porcelain. In my designs I often take inspiration from traditional or familiar designs which I then re-model in order to create new and surprising effects.
