Plaster, watercolour and wax. 2013 Charlotte 22, Robson 46, plays with the disciplines of relief, painting and sculpture, whilst encouraging the landscaping nature of drapery to suggest and describe form. Through exercising a three dimensional interest in the expressional use of polychromy, Morris articulates an awareness and sensitivity towards the topical issue of homelessness in London. Charlotte 22 (yrs), and Robson 46 (yrs), attend WCA, to work and study respectively. The piece parallels these two lives with their homeless counterparts; as the life expectancy of the homeless woman in London is 43 years old, for a man it is 47. www.ginniemorris.com
